Task
Raise the issue that a long-standing deficit in road infrastructure funding has led to the current poor state of Lithuania’s roads. Build public support for increased road infrastructure funding.
Solutions delivered
- We have actively raised the issue in the media and social media that roads are in poor condition due to lack of funding.
- We initiated a public opinion survey on the public’s perception of the state of the country’s roads.
- Together with insurers, we have calculated how much motorists lose from potholed roads.
- We brought in a well-known economist Marius Dubnikovas, to study the impact of roads on the country’s economy. We presented the results to the media at a press conference.
