Task
To increase the awareness of Lithuania in the US, using Lithuania’s participation in the largest biotechnology exhibition BIO Convention in San Diego, as well as the opening ceremony of the Northway Biotech factory, which took place a couple of weeks before the exhibition in the Boston region.
Solutions delivered
- Sharing the news in the USA media that Lithuania is a significant player in the life sciences in the US – this helped to strengthen relations with the local media and also covered the country in the context of foreign investment.
- A special website was created for the media, where we shared the news of the companies participating in the exhibition and statistics about the Lithuanian biotechnology sector: https://www.pressroom-cocreated-lithuania.com/. During the BIO Convention and before the event, the website was visited by 204 journalists, who spent an average of 6:53 minutes there.
- The advertising campaign on LinkedIn was implemented, targeting life sciences professionals in California, and we also communicated on Twitter and Facebook. The LinkedIn campaign generated more than 2000 interactions.
- Local media channels mentioned Lithuania as Europe’s fastest-growing life sciences cluster. Lithuania was also mentioned in popular world’s life sciences publications.
- The Lithuanian booth at the exhibition was visited by journalists from such leading science outlets as Biocentury, BioWorld, BPI, Business Insider, Endpoints News, InVivo, Nordic Life Science News, and NPR.
